You will spend hours if not days trying to resolve this before you give up. They may offer you a ‘Legacy’ version which, if it is anything like the Surfshark one, will be full of buggy pop-up messages asking for personal information, system passwords etc. If you, like me, are unable to upgrade it due to legacy software, then congratulations, you just got played. Of course they ‘neglected’ to inform you of that before you laid your money down. Why? Because sooner or later (sooner in my case, few months), your VPN provider will withdraw support for your current operating system. DO NOT pay the whole amount upfront to save a few quid. My advice is this: if you absolutely MUST get a VPN, always pay monthly.
